Text Box: Carlo Carlozzi, Jr., a 20 year member of the Angelo Tomasso, Sr., Lodge #2165 in New Britain recently became State President of the CT Grand Lodge   
Carlo currently served as 2nd Vice President of the CT Grand Lodge OSIA.  He has served on numerous occasions as President of the Angelo Tomasso, Sr. Lodge #2165, has served as State Recording Secretary for the CT Grand Lodge, as Chairman of past state conventions, as Chairman of the President’s Cabinet, and as Co-Chair of the CT Grand Lodge By-Laws committee.  He has also served on the original by-law committee that created the CT Commission for Social Justice and the CT Sons of Italy Foundation.  He also served for a number of years as a Commissioner of both organizations.  In addition Carlo has served as a Delegate to past national conventions, the most recent being the 100th Anniversary celebration of OSIA that was held in New York City in 2005.
Carlo is a 1st generation Italian-American and the son of Carlo and Giuseppina Carlozzi of New Britain.  The Italian traditions and culture are still very much alive and strong in the Carlozzi household where Italian is spoken every day.  Recently Carlo testified at the State Capital in Hartford on a bill to establish the month of October as Italian-American Heritage Month in the State of Connecticut.  The bill would honor the contributions of Italian immigrants and the over 634,000 citizens of Italian heritage throughout the state with appropriate services at the State Capital and throughout the State.  Carlo is employed by Wachovia Mortgage as an Account Executive, Wholesale Mortgage Lending with a client base of over 400 mortgage brokers throughout the State.
